Car History and Overview
The Daihatsu Gran Max is a versatile light commercial vehicle produced by the Japanese automaker Daihatsu since late 2007. It’s also rebadged as the Toyota LiteAce and Toyota TownAce since 2008, and as the Mazda Bongo in Japan since 2020. Developed under the lead of chief engineer Masaharu Tezeni, the Gran Max replaced the aging Zebra Espass in Indonesia and the Perodua Rusa in Malaysia.
