What?

Nusa Lembongan is an island located southeast of Bali and north of Nusa Penida in the kabupaten of Klungkung (Bali province), Indonesia. Another small island is located nearby: Nusa Ceningan. The Badung Strait separates Nusa Lembongan from the island of Bali. The area of Nusa Lembongan is approximately 8 km2. The twelve kilometres of the Badung Strait separate Lembongan from Bali. The island is surrounded by coral reefs, white sand beaches and low limestone cliffs. Nusa Lembongan is separated from Nusa Ceningan by a shallow channel that is difficult to navigate at low tide. A suspension bridge that can only be used by pedestrians and two-wheelers connects the two small islands.

Where?

From Bali it is easy to visit Nusa Lembongan. You reach the island from Bali by Fast Boat, the crossing takes only 25min from Sanur. So, if you are staying in the south of Bali in Ubud, Seminyak, Legian, Kuta, Jimbaran you will pass through Sanur before reaching Nusa Lembongan.

How?

You have many boats all day long and it is even possible to make the round trip in the day by leaving with the first boat at 8.30am and returning with the last boat at 4.30pm.

When?

Basically, the same advice as for Bali applies. November to March is the rainy season and the rest of the time is the dry season.

How much?

The average price of a ticket from Bali to Nusa Lembongan by speedboat is USD 21.00. Prices start from USD 13.00 and go up to USD 26.00. This is for a one-way ticket from Bali to Nusa Lembongan, usually when you book a return ticket you will get a lower price.
