Digital Nomads’ Win: IndiGo Starts Daily Delhi–Bali Flights Oct 24 — Adds Krabi, Dreamliner Manchester & Huge Domestic Boost

IndiGo unveiled plans on Friday for a substantial expansion originating from its primary hub at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, introducing three brand-new international routes and a suite of additional domestic flights later this month.

The airline confirmed its new service to Denpasar, Bali, will commence on October 24, offering daily flights. Following this, flights to Krabi, Thailand, are slated to begin on October 26, operating four times per week. The third international addition connects Delhi to Manchester in the United Kingdom, launching on November 15 with a frequency of four flights weekly.

Significantly, the Manchester route will be serviced by the wide-body Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, marking IndiGo’s foray into long-haul operations from Delhi.

For its Southeast Asian network, IndiGo is also enhancing its service between Delhi and Bangkok, increasing flights to twice daily starting October 26. The new flights to Denpasar and Krabi will be operated using the narrow-body Airbus A320 family aircraft. The additional Bangkok services will utilize narrow-body A321 aircraft, which are equipped with IndiGo’s Stretch product, offering a business class experience.

Domestically, IndiGo is set to roll out 10 additional non-stop daily services, also beginning October 26. These new connections include flights from Delhi to various cities such as Rajkot, Vadodara, Patna, Goa’s Manohar International Airport, Shirdi, Nagpur, Nashik, Jabalpur, and Raipur. Furthermore, a wholly new route connecting Delhi to Purnea in Bihar is also part of this expansion.

With these numerous additions, IndiGo, holding the title of India’s largest airline, will effectively link Delhi to a total of 21 international and 74 domestic destinations. This expansion translates to an impressive schedule of over 1,700 weekly departures from the capital.

Pieter Elbers, IndiGo’s chief executive officer, commented on the strategic importance of this growth, stating, “Delhi has consistently played a pivotal role in IndiGo’s expansion trajectory.” He further emphasized the airline’s long-term vision, adding, “As our international footprint continues to grow, a cornerstone of our strategic plan will be the establishment of globally competitive and locally integrated aviation hubs across India, thereby accelerating our ambition to emerge as a global leader in aviation by the year 2030.”
