What?
Tembeling Beach and Forest is a small, secluded beach accessible through dense forest, with natural pools.
Where?
Tembeling beach and forest is located on the southwest side of Nusa Penida island.
How?
It’s accessible by car or scooter, about 1 hour drive from the main docks and accommodation in northern Penida.
The slope towards Tembeling is quite steep and rocky. If you came on a scooter and have a good command of two wheels, go for it. If not, you have two options: walk down the 3km, it takes about 30 minutes if you walk at a good pace.
When?
Dry season: April to October = high season
Rainy season: November to March (but this is relative as in some years there has been almost no rain in November and December)
How much?
There is no entrance fee to visit Tembeling Beach and Forest. Only 50K IDR per person if you take a taxi-scooter up and down.
