What?
It is one of the most famous temples of the island. It is said that Tanah Lot is the work of the priest Nirartha in the 15th century. According to the legend, he discovered this beautiful rocky island during his journey and settled there. A fisherman who saw him brought him a gift. After spending the night there, Nirarta thought that this place would be useful for the worship of the god of the sea and asked the fishermen to build a sanctuary there.
