Frequently asked questions
What’s the minimum long-term rental period?
One month. Anything shorter uses our weekly or daily rates, which are already discounted from daily. Longer than 3 months unlocks additional flexibility (extended payment terms, larger swap options).
Can I switch bikes during a monthly rental?
Yes — unlimited swaps within your tier are included. Upgrading tiers mid-rental (Silver → Platinum, for example) is possible with a prorated adjustment.
What happens if I need to leave Bali mid-rental?
We pause your rental for free. Your bike goes into our secure storage until you return. You resume the same rental period from where you paused — no penalty, no rebooking.
Is insurance included in the monthly rate?
Optional but strongly recommended. Insurance is a separate add-on from IDR 30k/day (with monthly rates that reduce the daily equivalent). Without it, you’re liable for damage or theft.
Do I still need an IDP for a long-term rental?
Yes. An International Driving Permit with motorcycle endorsement (Category A) is legally required regardless of rental duration. Long-stay residents should also look into converting to an Indonesian SIM C license.
Can I pay monthly instead of upfront?
For 6-month and yearly rentals, we offer monthly installments. Card, PayPal, Wise, Revolut, and cryptocurrency all supported.
What if I want to buy the bike after renting?
Our “we buy, you rent” program lets us source a specific bike for you, or convert your rental into a purchase agreement. Especially useful for expats considering longer commitments — see our lease-or-buy guide.
Do you deliver monthly rentals to Ubud or areas outside South Bali?
Yes. Standard free delivery covers all of South Bali (Canggu, Ubud, Uluwatu, Sanur, Denpasar). For remote areas (Amed, Pemuteran, Munduk), a delivery fee may apply — WhatsApp us for a quote.
What happens with servicing during a long rental?
Every 30 days we service the bike at no cost to you. Book the appointment via WhatsApp — usually 2-3 hours at our workshop, or we can bring a swap bike while yours is serviced.
Is a monthly rental cheaper than buying a used bike in Bali?
For stays under 12–18 months, usually yes — you avoid the paperwork, resale hassle, and unexpected repair costs. For permanent expats, buying often makes sense. Read our full breakdown in the lease or buy guide.

Whether you are staying in Bali for an extended period or planning to live on the island, long-term motorbike rentals can be a convenient and cost-effective option.
