Balangan Beach is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali. Located on the Bukit peninsula between Jimbaran and Uluwatu temple, this white sandy beach on a cliffside lined with palm trees is a real little paradise that is still rarely visited by tourists. Nestled between limestone cliffs and tropical vegetation, Balangan beach stretches for about 200m. It mainly attracts surfing enthusiasts thanks to its impressive waves caused by the winds coming from the Indian Ocean. In fact, as you drive along the road to Balangan, you will probably come across surfers on their motorbikes with their surfboards strapped to the side of their bikes.

How?
Balagan Beach is about 30 minutes’ drive from Denpasar Airport. From the famous Uluwatu Temple, one of the area’s top attractions, it is about a 20-minute drive.
When?
To take advantage of favorable weather conditions, it is advisable to travel to Balangan during the dry season, which is often between May and September. The best time of day to visit is between 2pm and 5pm.
