FAQs
Renting a motorcycle in Bali is straightforward with Bali Best Motorcycle. To get on the road quickly, here is the essential information:
Do I need an International Driving Permit (IDP) to rent a motorbike in Bali?
Yes, to ride legally in Bali, you need your home country license plus an IDP (Category A for motorcycles). This ensures you are covered by insurance and avoids fines at local checkpoints.
Is insurance included in my rental?
We offer various insurance tiers. Our Gold and Diamond plans include comprehensive coverage for bike damage and theft, giving you total peace of mind while exploring the island.
Can you deliver my scooter to Denpasar Airport or my hotel?
Absolutely! We provide free delivery and pickup across major areas including Denpasar Airport (DPS), Seminyak, Canggu, Ubud, and Sanur. Just provide your flight details or villa address.
What happens if my bike has a flat tire or mechanical issue?
We provide roadside assistance. If you have any trouble, just WhatsApp us (during working hours), and our team will come to your location to repair the bike or provide a seamless swap so your holiday doesn’t stop.
How do I pay for my rental, and do you require a deposit?
We make it easy with multiple payment options including Credit Card, PayPal, or Bank Transfer. Unlike many local rentals, we offer transparent terms and flexible deposit options based on your chosen insurance plan, ensuring a secure and professional experience.
Which motorbike is best for two people or long-distance trips?
For couples or trips to Uluwatu and North Bali, we recommend the Yamaha NMAX or Honda PCX. These “Gold Tier” scooters offer more power, larger seats, and better storage compared to smaller “Matic” bikes.
Do your scooters come with surf racks and helmets?
Yes! Every rental includes two sanitized, high-quality helmets. Surf racks can be fitted to most models upon request—perfect for surfing the breaks in Canggu or Uluwatu.
How does the "Unlimited Swap" feature work?
Unique to Bali Best Motorcycle, if you feel like changing your style—say, swapping a Vario for a stylish Vespa—you can swap your bike anytime during your subscription period (subject to availability).
Can I take the motorbike to neighboring islands like Nusa Penida or Lombok?
Yes, our bikes are permitted for cross-island travel. We provide the original registration documents (STNK) required for ferry crossings.
I’ve never ridden a scooter before. Is it safe to learn in Bali?
Bali traffic can be chaotic. We recommend beginners start in quieter areas like Sanur or Uluwatu. We provide a full orientation upon delivery to ensure you are comfortable with the controls before you head out.
