Lombok, island, Nusa Tenggara Barat province, Indonesia. It is one of the small Sunda Islands, located east of Bali by the Lombok Strait and west of Sumbawa by the Alas Strait. To the north is the Java Sea, to the south the Indian Ocean.

There are three ways to get from Bali to Lombok: by air (40 minutes), by fast boat (1.5 to 3 hours) and by slow boat (4 to 8 hours). Depending on where you are travelling to Lombok, you can choose the most appropriate means of transport. Most visitors stay in Senggigi or Kuta Lombok.
