Nusa penida

What?

Nusa Penida is a beautiful island off the coast of Bali. We advise you to visit this small island. It is a breathtaking place with a postcard setting. There you will find a clear blue sea, white sandy beaches, and friendly locals.

We believe that at least 3 days are necessary to visit and discover most of the island’s hidden treasures. If you want to take your time and relax in some places, then plan a stay of at least 4-5 days.

Where?

Nusa Penida is an island near the island of Bali in southeastern Indonesia, and a district of the Klungkung regency that includes the small neighbouring island of Nusa Lembongan and twelve other even smaller islands.

How?

To get to Sanur, it is only 20km from the airport. This town on the east coast is the starting point to Bali’s neighbouring islands of Nusa Lembongan, Nusa Ceningan and Nusa Penida.

When?

Dry season: April to October = high season

Rainy season: November to March (but this is relative as in some years there has been almost no rain in November and December)

How much?

You can rent a scooter and two helmets (safety first) at the port or at the hotel for a price ranging from Rp 70,000 to Rp 100,000 per day (between $4 and $6).

Renting a car or driver

We do not recommend that you rent a car on Nusa Penida. The roads are very narrow. It is better to pay for a driver.
