What?
Jatiluwih Ricefield is for one of the must-see of Bali. Away from the city traffic, you will find the peace and beauty you are looking for. Jatiluwih is the perfect cohabitation between the work of man and nature. The ingenuity of the irrigation system, the floors of rice paddies over 636 hectares and the beauty of the site have made the site a unesco World Heritage Site in 2012. To go through them you have relatively short hiking trails proposed. However, it is necessary to count a little hour for the shortest and 4 hours for the longest because of the important difference in level of the rice fields.
Where?
Jatiluwih is located in the center of the island. Jatiluwih Rice Terraces is located in the Pennebel District of Jatiluwih Village, Tabanan Regency, Bali, Indonesia, approximately 700m above sea level. It takes about 2 hours drive from major southern areas such as Kuta, Seminyak and Denpasar to these highlands.
How?
Jatiluwih is easily accessible by motorcycle, car or minibus.
When?
Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is open from 08:00 to 18:00. You can stop by early morning or late afternoon every day for the best experience. Early morning rice terraces offer a fresher, cooler atmosphere and warmer sunrises, while late afternoons offer a shady atmosphere and sunset views.
How much?
To enter jatiluwih you have to pay Rph 40,000 ($2.60) and an extra Rph 5,000 ($0.33) if you come by car
